I used to own a few pieces of Eco-drive watches from Citizen. To me, they are convenient grab-and-go watches. Those that I have owned came with the basic hour, min, sec and date features, and had power reserve of less than two months. Eversince I sold them, I have never considered buying another Eco-drive and thus have not been following closely with the development of the technology.
Today, I saw this short writeup on a local watch magazine and realized that Eco-drive have made tremendous progress. They now have moon phase, pointer date, long lasting power reserve and cool dial design. Wow!
To do: visit watch shops to see it in person.
