SAF issued watch

Here’s a watch issued by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). Prior to seeing this watch, I have never seen a SAF issued watch before. This watch was supposed to be issued to trainees of the School of Combat Engineers (SCE) on their passing out parade but parade was canceled due to SARS outbreak that year. Watch was issued to one particular intake. Other intakes probably get something else on completing the course.

The watch has stainless steel case and caseback and is powered by a quartz movement made by Epson.

Watch belongs to Big Time@Tekka. Photo by me.

Hi I have a watch with a colourful SAFSA dial. It was a prize from a sports event. Japanese Miyota Quartz Movement, metal case, plastic strap (bad copy of a 1990s Tag Heuer) and a rotating bezel. If you\’d like I can send you pics. It\’s ugly as hell but sentimental. Keep up the great blog!
