Yesterday, I had the privilege to have dinner with a Japanese jeweler from Osaka. He was in town to visit an old friend of his.
We had ala carte buffet at a Japanese restaurant. Besides jewelry, he also deals in watches so we spent the evening talking about Seiko and Orient watches.
When I told him I collect Seiko watches from the top of the line GS’s to the basic Seiko 5’s, he immediately grabbed my wrist to see what watch I was wearing. To his disappointment, I was wearing the SARB003. I thought it was not necessary to wear my GS because he must have seen more Grand Seiko’s than the three I have in my collection. Anyway, he was wearing a Raymond Weil.
This is the restaurant we went to: http://www.oishii.sg/restaurant_page.php?resid=289
Here’s a wrist shot of the SARB003 taken a few days ago.
