Orient Ladies Automatic CDBAB005W0

Ladies seldom wear automatic watches. Most of them treat watches as an accessory item and do not look at what’s inside the watch case. However, Orient has a line of nicely designed automatic watches for those who not only care about design but also appreciate the movement. 

Below is a specimen that I have handled. This is an international model that comes under the Fashionable Automatic line in Orient’s international lineup. In Japan, it comes under the Lady’s Automatic line.

The watch comes with a MOP dial. MOP (mother of pearl) is an exotic and popular material for ladies jewelry and accessories which can be enhanced with colors during the manufacturing process. This Orient dial is not only beautifully colored but also decorated with heart shapes of different sizes. The open heart display is also enclosed within a heart shape, the biggest one on the dial. 
 
The Arabic hour markers are plated with rose gold color to match the watch case. The font plays an important role in giving the watch a classic European look.

The watch has a nice and simple tonneau-shaped case which in my opinon helps to balance the overall design and makes the watch look elegant.

   

Besides the open heart display, there is a heart shaped window on the caseback that shows part of its movement as well.
 

If you are a fan of Japanese watches, I think this is a good watch that you should buy for their wife or girlfriend.
